How Pendragon’s Smokehouse Works

We’re bringing local BBQ delivery to your door the way it should be—hot, fresh, and delicious. Unlike on-demand takeout, our service works more like reserving a table at your favorite restaurant. You book your dinner in advance, and we handle the rest—so you can enjoy exceptional smoked BBQ without the stress of last-minute ordering.

We plan on delivering to the following townships when we launch in Spring 2025 - Montclair, Glen Ridge and Cedar Grove.

For now, we’re focused on delivery—no dine-in or pickup options just yet.

On your delivery day, we’ll let you know we’re on the way. Your BBQ will arrive fresh, hot and ready to enjoy. All you need to do is roll up your sleeves and dig in!

Pendragon’s Smokehouse runs on a pre-order model, meaning we prepare everything fresh for the exact number of meals ordered for that given day. This allows us to focus on quality and care in every dish. If you’re looking for last-minute takeout, we might not be the best fit (for now), but if you love great BBQ and like the idea of a planned night off from cooking, sign up and give us a try—we’d love to cook for you.

To start, we’re focusing on dinner service, with delivery times based on demand. As people sign up, we’ll adjust our schedule to best serve the community. How does ordering work?

It’s simple! You’ll come here to our website, pick your meal(s), choose a date and time, and we’ll deliver your order hot to your door and ready to enjoy. No fuss, no waiting in line—just delicious BBQ delivered. 

What’s on the menu?

Our menu will change monthly to keep things different and seasonal but we do plan to have a few favorites as fixed menu items. You can expect a handful of delicious smoked meats, flavorful sides, and a few indulgent desserts. Some examples? Baby back ribs, jerk chicken, chilli con carne, garlic-roasted green beans, Mexican street corn, apple pie and lemon meringue pie, just to name a few. As we expand we'll also be including some smoked vegetarian options too.

Have dietary requirements? We'll be sure to provide allergen information for all dishes we serve.

How much does it cost, and do I have to subscribe?

No, we are not another subscription service. You can simply order in advance for the days we’ll be delivering to your area. Pricing varies depending on what's on the menu for the month, but you can expect the cost to be in line with what you’d pay at a normal BBQ restaurant. We plan to offer individual meals, plus meals for two, small and large families, and small gatherings.

Pendragon’s Smokehouse was created by Eva & Charlie Holbech, long-time New Jersey residents with a shared love for BBQ, customer service, and technology. With over 20 years of experience in the kitchen and 25 years in customer service and tech, we’ve blended our expertise in business with our passion for great food to create a BBQ experience that’s all about quality and care.
